The task of the loading platform (ramp, bridge or scissor lift) is to compensate for the height difference between the delivery vehicle’s loading platform and the warehouse floor, enabling quick and easy entry of a forklift onto the vehicle’s loading platform.
An industrial door serves as the external closure for the warehouse and is opened only for the time necessary to carry out loading or unloading operations.
By ensuring that the space between the trailer of the delivery vehicle and the interior of the warehouse is properly sealed, the dock seal protects the goods being handled and the interior of the warehouse building from external influences, ensures proper hygiene requirements and prevents heat/cold from escaping from the warehouse.
