PERIODIC INSPECTIONS OF WAREHOUSE EQUIPMENT
In order to ensure the safety of our customers’ work, we provide periodic inspections of racks, trolleys, handling equipment and cranes. Regular periodic inspections are a guarantee of work safety, low maintenance costs and lack of downtime. In accordance with the guidelines of Polish and European standards. After each inspection we prepare a report, which is the basis for the repair work we carry out.
It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that all types of storage equipment, including shelving units that are means of work, do not pose a risk to the life and health of workers.
According to the regulation of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy (DZ.U. 03.169.1650), the employer is obliged to carry out systematic inspections of the state of health and safety at work, with particular emphasis on the organisation of work processes, the technical condition of machinery and other technical equipment.
By systematically carrying out current and periodic inspections of the condition of the shelving units, it is possible to initiate preventive measures at an earlier stage, which translates into:
- prevention of danger to health or life of warehouse staff
- avoidance of expenses related to the replacement of damaged racking components
- elimination of the cost of goods damaged in an accident
- minimising the risk of work stoppages in the warehouse
In the interests of your warehouse safety, the qualified specialists of PROMAG S.A.:
- review in accordance with the guidelines in current standards
- at the customer’s request carry out the necessary repair work on the basis of the inspection report
- provide training on safe racking operation
The result of the inspection carried out shall be presented to the employer in a report on the periodic inspection of the condition of the shelves, which shall include:
- description and list of items to be replaced and/or supplemented
- post-inspection recommendation
- individual periodic technical inspection report
- layout and configuration drawings of the racks showing the location of items requiring replacement, repair and/or refilling
This report forms the basis for our planning and implementation of corrective actions.
