Modern headquarters
in Poznań
The history of PROMAG began in 1982 in Poznań. At that time, on the initiative of Mr. Witold Kawecki, an organisation supporting the development of the production of storage and handling equipment was established under the name of PROMAG. At that time, logistics in Poland was still in its infancy. However, Mr Witold Kawecki was a visionary and saw the potential in this field. He believed that ‘warehousing is still underestimated in Poland, but there is great potential for saving manpower. In other areas we are already fighting for seconds, and in warehousing we are wasting many valuable hours’.
Since its establishment, PROMAG has actively participated in the transformation of the Polish economy, introducing modern forms of management and innovative solutions in the field of warehouse technology. In the meantime, the company has undergone changes that are characteristic of the changes taking place in Poland. The breakthrough came in 1990 when PROMAG became a joint-stock company.
The history of PROMAG is a part of the history of Polish logistics
This can be seen in the company’s offer and its development. The beginnings of the company were simple pallet racks, hand pallet trucks and platform trucks. Later, other products such as metal furniture, packaging equipment and materials, lifting equipment and conveyors were added to the range. At the beginning of the 2000s, the first own-brand products were introduced, as well as handling systems and mezzanine floors, which were modern for the time.
The dynamic development of the company and Polish logistics began with Poland’s accession to the EU. At that time the first semi-automatic and automatic storage, transport and packaging systems appeared in PROMAG’s offer. At present, PROMAG is one of the few, if not the only Polish company designing, manufacturing and installing automatic storage systems. For its own high-density storage system AutoMAG Mover, PROMAG was awarded the title of INNOVATIVE PRODUCT for Logistics, Transport and Production.
In the 1990s, PROMAG S.A. was already a nationwide company with its headquarters in Poznań and a network of 10 branches throughout Poland. An important moment for the company was the relocation of its headquarters from Szyperska Street to Romana Maya Street in Poznań. In 2007, on the occasion of the company’s 25th anniversary, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of a new headquarters. Today, the company’s headquarters consists of a modern 4-storey office building and the PROMAG STORAGE TECHNOLOGY CENTRE, which houses the only multimedia practical exhibition in Poland – THE STORAGE OF THE FUTURE. Other milestones in the company’s development were the construction of a logistics centre in Koninek and a factory in Bolechów. Currently, the company has an automated production plant in Bolechów near Poznañ with an area of over 15,000 m2, a modern logistics centre in Koninek with an area of 28,000 m2 and PROMAG PARK ŻERNIKI – a modern, newly built complex with an area of over 50,000 m2.
The company is constantly improving its range of automated solutions, including the development of remote service. With the introduction of robots, PROMAG’s offer for the automation of storage, transport, order picking and product identification processes is systematic and complete. From what we started 40 years ago, thanks to the creativity and entrepreneurship of many people, a company with a great tradition in the industry has been created, offering modern solutions for warehouse equipment and technological transport systems. MANAGEMENT OF PROMAG S.A.
Karolina Tokarz
Graduate of the Poznań University of Technology and of the Management College at the Poznań School of Business. She gained her first professional experience at Fabryka Łożysk Tocznych, currently SKF.
For many years she was associated with the Laboratory and Medical Equipment Factory, where she gained experience and managed the Development and Marketing Department, and then the Marketing and Sales Department. Since 1999, she managed the sales and marketing network at PROMAG S.A.. In June 2016, she was appointed President of the Management Board of PROMAG S.A.
She is a laureate of the prestigious ranking ‘100 WOMEN OF BUSINESS 2019’, where she was ranked among the 10 most entrepreneurial women in Poland in the category of companies with revenues exceeding PLN 50 million.
For her professional activity, she was awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit – a state decoration awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland, the Honorary Hippolyte statuette and the Jan Paderewski statuette on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence and the 100th anniversary of the Wielkopolska Uprising, the Silver Medal of the Hipolit Cegielski Society. Hipolit Cegielski’s ‘Labour omnia vincit’, the ‘Friend of Success’ statuette for the best managers in the country, the SIMP Silver Badge of Honour, the Badge of Honour ‘For Services to the Wielkopolska Voivodeship’ and the title ‘Leader of Organic Work’.
From 2015 to 2019 she was a member of the Scientific Council of ILiM. Currently, she is a member of the Business Council of WUT of Poznan University of Technology and an expert of the Wielkopolska Quality Award.
Renata Ciechowska-Roykowska
A graduate of the Poznań University of Economics with a degree in Management and Marketing, specialising in corporate finance and accounting. Licensed by the Minister of Finance to provide accounting services.
She began her professional career in 1997 and climbed the accounting ladder to the position of Chief Accountant, which she assumed in 2008.
Since 2014 she has been working in PROMAG S.A. as Chief Accountant. Since May 2020, she has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer of the company.
Marek Łabęda
Marek Łabęda is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Management at the Poznań University of Technology, where he specialised in management and production engineering. He also completed post-graduate studies in quality management and post-graduate studies in management at the Poznań School of Banking.
He has been working for PROMAG S.A. since 2004 and has held the position of Technical Director since 2012. Active member of the Polish Association of Mechanical Engineers and Technicians, Poznań Branch, currently member of the Board of the SIMP Internal Transport and Warehousing Section.
He is involved in the training of future personnel, among other things by giving lectures on intralogistics to university students.
MODERN HEAD OFFICE IN POZNAŃ
The company’s head office is located in Poznan, in a modern three-storey office building with an area of almost 3,000 m², equipped with intelligent and energy-efficient systems. This is also the location of PROMAG’s Warehouse Technology Centre, which houses the ‘Warehouse of the Future’ exhibition, the only one of its kind in Poland.

WAREHOUSE OF THE FUTURE’ EXHIBITION
We are constantly working on innovative solutions, often ahead of market needs. In Poznań we have created the PROMAG Warehouse Technology Centre, which houses the only exhibition of advanced warehouse technology equipment and solutions in Poland – the “Warehouse of the Future”.

The 28,000 m² PROMAG S.A. logistics centre in Koninek near Poznañ is one of the most modern logistics centres in the Wielkopolska region. Our team of experienced specialists ensures efficient and professional handling of orders both in Poland and on international markets.
PROMAG PARK ŻERNIKI
PROMAG S.A. is also engaged in development activities. PROMAG PARK ŻERNIKI is a modern complex with an area of over 50,000 m², including a hall, social and office facilities and outdoor areas. The complex is located south-west of the Krzesiny junction of the A2 motorway, next to the S11 motorway on the Kórnik – Katowice route.
PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION FACILITIES
Our production facility in Bolechowo, near Poznań, with a modern and automated machinery park of over 15,000 m², supported by an experienced design team, enables us to flexibly adapt our products to the individual needs of each customer.
