SELF-SUPPORTING WAREHOUSES (SILOS)
SIMPLIFICATION OF THE INVESTMENT AND CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
A self-supporting warehouse, also known as a storage silo, is a system in which the racking structure for storing goods is also the supporting structure of the building. This solution makes it possible to maximise the use of storage capacity, as well as saving costs and reducing the investment time. Most of the available storage systems can be used as the warehouse structure, making it possible to choose the optimum solution for the client’s needs in terms of the load units used or the required rotation characteristics (FIFO/LIFO).

ADVANTAGES OF SELF-SUPPORTING WAREHOUSES:
- smplification of the investment and construction process
- reduced cost and investment time due to the smaller scale of construction compared to conventional storage facilities
- maximum utilisation of facility capacity due to elimination of structural elements such as beams and columns
- possibility of using both traditional and automated storage systems.
- adaptation to the load units used
- FIFO or LIFO rotation depending on the storage system chosen
- height limited only by local building regulations and the reach of handling equipment (forklifts, stacker cranes)
